This Practice contains one data form for providing requirements for shell and tube heat exchangers having internal design pressures equal to or greater than 15 psig (103 kPa) and/or full vacuum external pressure at the top of the exchanger in its normal operating position, and are welded, shop- and field-fabricated, and in accordance with the requirements of the Code, Section VIII, Division 1 {or Division 2}. This Practice is required to be used with PIP VECV1001, PIP VESV1002, PIP VECST001, and PIP VESST002 to specify information necessary for the manufacturer to design and fabricate a shell and tube heat exchanger.
